Indian Food mmm

So we went to some little Indian restaurant in parsippany, nj  called Garam Marsala! mm was it yummi!

I had gotten the lamb shahi korma. It's lamb in a scrumptious yogurt sauce. Ant got lamb jalfrezi. It was lamb in a red sauce with peppers and onions. Both dishes where amazing! We also ordered a side of cheesy naan (bread). The service was also top notch! This place was worth it! I recommend it to any one!

Asiago-Crusted Pork Chops

Crusted Pork Chops

This recipe was fantastic! The asiago cheese really made this recipe. The pork chop crusted to perfection. We used normal bread crumbs instead of Japanese ones. We also varied our lemon usage compared to the recipe. Anton did not use lemon where as I used more lemon then stated. The pork chop was very juicy, we cooked to to medium-well (barley pink in the center).

Asparagus:

We steamed the asparugus for 3 mins. Afterwards we put a little butter (of course) along with shredded asiago cheese left over from the recipe. It was absolutly tasty!

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Creamy Pesto Shrimp!!!
This was amazing recipe and very easy to cook! It was the perfect creaminess for the pasta and shrimp! Just posting this is making me hungry! We kept to the original recipe when cooking this and just cooked the broccoli from the previous recipe.

Lamb w/ Red Wine reduction sauce and Roasted Potatoes!

Lamb Recipe

We used the recipe in the link above several times! It is super scrumptious! We decided to test it out with red wine instead of balsamic vinegar. It was perfect! It came out to have such a rich taste, which really went along nicely with the lamb. I can't remember exactly what wine we used but it said it went well with lamb on the label.

Roasted Potatoes:

We really didn't follow any time of recipe to make these but let me try to explain for any one interested!

Ingredients:
-4 normal sized Idaho potatoes (or however many potatoes you feel you can eat!)
-Olive Oil
-Butter
-Pepper
-Shredded Cheese (we used cheddar, but you can use what ever your favorite is)
-Shallots diced up (left over from the lamb recipe but onions work fine as well)

Preheat the oven to 400F. Wash and cut the potatoes into quarters. Coat the pan with a little olive oil. Place the potatoes and shallots into the pan and mix a little. Sprinkle a little olive oil onto the the potatoes for taste. Cut pieces of butter up and place all over the top of the potatoes. Add pepper to taste (I like alot of pepper), then pop them into the oven. Cook time total is about 45 mins to an hour or when they turn golden brown. About 25 mins through take them out to mix them up a bit. You can also add more butter if you wish. When the potatoes have finished cooking or they have turned a nice golden brown, shred the cheese over the potatoes and put back into the oven for another minute or so just to get the cheese nice and melty. And there you go! yummy roasted potatoes!

Since we are spicy food lovers we added hot sauces in when we added the cheese to kick it up a notch. We used Sriracha hot sauce.

Broccoli:

This was very simple to do. it is steamed broccoli tossed in Parmesan cheese and a little melted butter!
P.s. we also love a lot of cheese!

If you don't own a steamer (like us) all you have to do is just get a big pot with a lid. Cut a piece of aluminum foil a little bigger then the size of the pot. Poke holes in the center of the foil and place it over the pot letting it cave downwards a little so you can fit the veggie you wanna steam along with the lid. That's all it takes! Just one thing that you need to be aware of, which is to make sure you have the foil wrapped around the edges tight or else once you put the veggies in it will fall into the boiling water and its really hot and you could burn yourself (lets say we know from experience...).

Well broccoli cook time is 4-5 mins any more and it will be super mushy, gross!

*Well i hope you enjoyed this dinner because i know we did!*
